Attention All Kids and Chocolate-Lovers!

If you love chocolate, or if you have children (we fall into both categories) you won't want to miss the Bryn Mawr Farmers' Market this Saturday, September 12. First, John & Kira's Chocolates will be participating in the market, and they just might be the coolest chocolate-makers in the country. Featured on the cover of Gourmet magazine, in the New York Times and on the Martha Stewart television show, John & Kira are truly the best the Philadelphia region has to offer. Their hand-made, artisan chocolates include flavors such as Garden Mint, Glenn's Raspberry and Lavender Honey, and utilize locally-grown and sustainably-harvested ingredients whenever possible. The mint is grown by the students at University City High School, the honey from a local apiary - you get the idea. Click here for their website, and be sure to check out their tent on Saturday. Let us know what you think!

To kick-off the fall season, we are also featuring several fun and informative booths for the back-to-school crowd. Bryn Mawr Hospital will be providing information on children's nutrition and the importance of a healthy diet for children. The pros at The Handwork Studio and Main Line Art Center will be leading complimentary arts and crafts projects. And make sure your little ones take home a free balloon!

The Bryn Mawr Farmers' Market will continue to be open this fall each Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm, through early November. There is a bounty of fresh, local food to enjoy during the harvest season.
