The End of a Fabulous First Year

This Saturday, November 20th, will be our last Farmers Market day of the year. We hope you will come out to pick up the last of fall's bounty, and say goodbye to the farmers and producers who have worked hard for us throughout the season.

Thank you, Bryn Mawr and Lower Merion, for welcoming the market this year in such a big way. Thanks to the Township staff and commissioners for being so gracious, to the community non-profit organizations that have participated during various market days, and to our volunteers who have helped in all manner of various tasks. Thank you especially to Pat Broida for being an outstanding market manager, we are so lucky to have her. If you don't know Pat, that's her in the photo with Bob Pierson, the Executive Director of Farm to City, and her husband, David.

Thank you Farm to City for introducing wonderful, thoughtful farmers and producers to Bryn Mawr and for being such a terrific partner. Don't forget you can still sign-up for Farm to City's Winter Harvest program, which started this week.

We would love your input and suggestions for strengthening the market, are their food items that you'd like to see? For example would you like more prepared foods? Flowers? Let us know!

Hope to see you tomorrow, and we'll be back in spring of 2010!

Best,

Laura Shell & Molly Rouse Terlevich

  1. I'd like to see a larger selection of breads and single-serving pastries. Perhaps Metropolitan Bakery or similar.
