Free range chicken and the best desserts in town!

This Saturday the Bryn Mawr Farmers Market welcomes back Canter Hill Farm, AndyB Confections and Green Zebra Farm - together this trio will have all the makings for an amazing spring dinner. Canter Hill will bring us their free-range poultry and eggs, from Green Zebra we'll have spring produce, and AndyB bakes the most delicious desserts in town. Click here to read more about Canter Hill Farm and its wonderful owners Jeanette and Wayne Grabe.

AndyB has been one busy baker. For the hungry morning crowd he'll have freshly baked cinnamon buns and scones as well as low-fat granola sweetened with honey and brown rice syrup. And for a special dessert take a look at his strawberry-rhubarb pie, blackberry curd tart with pistachio crust and chocolate ganache (yum), apricot tart and of course his signature cookies. We love you Andy!
For music-lovers, this Saturday Rebekah Wimer and Jessica Stoltzfus, violinists, will be performing a variety of classical and Celtic music. They are excited about this opportunity to share their music with the community - and note that Rebekah is the daughter of Bud Wimer of Wimer's Organics. If you know of a musician who'd like to perform at the market, please let us know.

We thank you all for making our opening day such a success last week - the farmers were thrilled and we hope you were too. The chefs at Bryn Mawr's Verdad restaurant came by and whipped up some complimentary samples of their french toast with strawberry compote - thank you Verdad! The Handwork Studio hosted a popular arts & crafts table which we'll have back on May 22 - thank you Handwork Studio! The Lower Merion Conservancy sold dozens of native plants and they'll be back this Saturday with more. We were particularly touched by the success of the animal adotions and hope to make that an on-going feature of the market. A huge thank you to our friends at Platoon Fitness for arranging the inflatable slide - it sure was a hit! And lastly, a shout out to our on-line media sponsor, Main Line Neighbors, sign-up for their e-newsletter for updates on all the happenings around town.

See you on Saturday!
