Just in time for fall's cooler weather, we are welcoming a hot new producer to the Bryn Mawr Farmers Market. Welcome Renaissance Sausage! Featuring hot sausage sandwiches, egg & sausage sandwiches for the morning bunch, as well as tasty sides, Renaissance Sausage expands the selection of prepared foods available at the market. Their debut was last week and our hungry mid-day customers happily indulged. And of course, the sausages are organic, and prepared from locally-raised meats. Another new item at the market - apples! While we're not quite ready for the peaches to end, Frecon Farms was selling the first apples of the season last week. Come and enjoy the first taste of fall.
And lastly - Livengood's Produce had fresh shelled lima beans last week that were out of this world. These are not the mushy frozen limas your mother served, we're talking buttery, rich limas bursting with flavor. Give 'em a try, fresh lima beans are NEVER available at the supermarket and can only be found at a local farmers market.
